Enjoy a tabletop RPG simple enough for kids yet deep enough for veterans.
​Can be played with or without a GameMaster!


Young Wizards is a card-based tabletop RPG/board game where each player assumes the role of a... Well... A Young Wizard. 

Each player constructs a deck of cards representing their spells, equipment and other features (like race). That deck can grow more powerful over time as the player adventures into twisting caverns and dark forests, discovering treasures & gaining experience.

All of that sounds great, and can be done with other tabletop RPGs. How does Young Wizards differ?
  • The game can be played without a Game Master(GM)/Dungeon Master. 
  • If played with a GM, setting up adventures & encounters is a breeze, leaving you more time to focus on your story.
  • More schools of magic than you can shake a wand at. Deck-builders rejoice! (of course, we have deck pre-constructions for the wee ones)
  • The card-based approach provides the perfect "bridge" between younger players and the deeper world of tabletop RPGs. 
Core Game Sets
  • STARTER SET. Everything starts here! This set is designed to support 4 players as they are just getting into the game.
  • ADVANCED SET. This set expands upon the starter set by adding more spell & treasure cards to the existing stock. It also introduces another school of magic (Alchemy) and another race (Dwarf), allowing for up to 5 players. The first battleboard is also included in this set, providing an epic tabletop experience!
  • EXPERT SET. Expands the game with the new spell school (Summoning). Also includes a new race (High Elf), a new spell tier for all schools (expert), new battleboards, new treasure, adventures (including a new adventure TYPE), new monsters and more!
  • MASTER SET. The final box set for the "CORE" of the game contains a new spell school (Wild Magic), new race (Half Elf), a new spell tier for all schools (master), new battleboards, new treasure, yet another new adventure TYPE, new monsters and more!
  • ADVENTURE SET 1. This tuckbox expansion set includes FOUR new adventures for playing without a GM.
  • CORE Spell Pack. This tuckbox includes all spell cards released in all CORE sets. The goal was to allow for more players/choices without the higher expense of the box sets.
  • CORE Wizard Pack. This tuckbox includes all wizard representation cards & races released in all CORE sets, plus some unique wizard cards. 
Each set beyond the starter allows for an additional player due to the inclusion of another spell school. Any set with a spell school allows for adding more players. Indeed, the Core Spell Pack contains 7 schools of magic, so you can expand your table to +7 players with that expansion pack alone!
